If you are looking for a dietitian in Chennai, you will notice that fees differ a lot. A short online chat can cost a few hundred rupees. A full personal consultation can cost a few thousand. Here is how to make sense of it.

What affects the fee

  1. Time. A 10-minute call and a 45-minute assessment are very different services.
  2. Experience and qualifications. Look for a degree in dietetics or clinical nutrition and experience with your condition.
  3. How personal the plan is. A chart sent after a form is different from a plan built after reviewing your reports, routine and food habits.
  4. Follow-up. Weekly reviews, plan changes and messaging support take real time, so they are priced into a programme.
  5. Location and facilities. Clinic rent and staff affect fees, as with any clinic.

What a good consultation should include

  • A review of your health history, medicines and recent reports
  • Your food habits, timings and family meals
  • Your goal, with a realistic pace (no guaranteed numbers)
  • A plan you can follow using the food you already cook
  • Clear steps for what to do if something does not work

Questions to ask before you pay

  • How long is the first consultation?
  • Is the plan personal, or a standard chart?
  • Are reviews and plan changes included? How often?
  • Will I get support on WhatsApp between visits?
  • What is the refund or cancellation policy?
  • Does the dietitian have experience with my condition?

Our fees at Healthy Diet Studio

We publish our fees openly so you can plan:

  • First consultation: ₹2,000. 45 minutes with dietitian Bhuvana B and a personal diet plan
  • 1 month: ₹12,000 with fortnightly review calls
  • 3 months: ₹30,000 with weekly review calls
  • 6 months: ₹50,000 with weekly review calls and a full lifestyle plan

You can take only the first consultation and follow the plan on your own. Programmes are for people who want weekly support.

Is a cheaper option ever right?

Yes. If you only need general ideas, a low-cost chat or a free article can be enough. If you have diabetes, PCOS, thyroid issues, kidney or liver problems, or you have tried charts without results, a longer personal consultation is usually better value.

How to choose

Look at qualifications, ask the questions above, read recent Google reviews, and choose the option that matches how much support you need.

This article is general nutrition information, not medical advice. Talk to your doctor before changing your diet if you have a health condition or take medicines.

Questions

Questions about this topic

How much does Healthy Diet Studio charge?

The first consultation is ₹2,000 for a 45-minute assessment with dietitian Bhuvana B and a personal diet plan. Programmes with weekly reviews are ₹12,000 (1 month), ₹30,000 (3 months) and ₹50,000 (6 months).

Why do some dietitians charge much less?

Short, template-based online chats or hospital out-patient visits cost less because they are shorter or less personal. A long, personal assessment takes more time and expertise.

Is a follow-up included?

It depends on the dietitian. Always ask whether reviews, plan changes and messaging support are included before you pay.
